Making a Difference
More than 200,000 individuals in the U.S and Canada are diagnosed with a brain tumor each year. Kovarus, Inc. is committed to making a difference for these individuals and their families. Over the past several years, Kovarus has provided funding and volunteer support to a competitive group of Northern California cyclists with the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) as their key philanthropy.

The “Racing for Research” team is a San Francisco based team of Elite cyclists competing in events across the nation but have primary focus in one of the countries most competitive racing regions in the US, the USCF Northern California/Nevada district. Not only do these team members work together to ensure top results on race day, they also carry a charter to raise awareness and funding for the ABTA and its brain tumor research efforts. For the 2008 season, Kovarus is proud to continue its support of this team as title sponsor of the Kovarus/ABTA “Racing for Research” cycling team.

About ABTA
The American Brain Tumor Association is a not-for-profit, independent organization, serving individuals globally and awarding funds to researchers throughout the United States and Canada. Founded in 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association exists to eliminate brain tumors through research and to meet the needs of brain tumor patients and their families. ABTA proudly funds brain cancer researchers who are instrumental in the development of better diagnostic, surgical and imaging tools, more targeted chemotherapeutics, effective delivery systems, and raising awareness about brain tumors.
